There are a few practical reasons why combining both sides in every package makes more sense than splitting them:
Bringing your vehicle into the shop, setting up the bay, doing the initial inspection, running the vacuum and extraction equipment, setting up the wash station — that overhead exists whether we're doing one side or both. The marginal cost of adding the other side is much lower than the setup cost you've already incurred. Splitting the service doesn't save you proportional money; it just means you leave with a vehicle that's half-done.
You park the freshly-washed exterior at United, come back, open the door, and the smell hits you.
