BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Cadillac, luxury trucks — premium vehicles need premium protection. West Texas UV and caliche are the enemy. Ceramic coating is the answer.
Every coating installation includes paint decontamination, clay bar treatment, and a machine polish before the first ceramic layer is applied. We use CarPro Cquartz products — the same professional-grade line used by high-end detailing shops nationwide. We will not coat a vehicle with uncorrected swirl marks or scratches.
Vintage Township, Lakeridge, and surrounding South Lubbock neighborhoods sit in one of the most paint-hostile environments in Texas. Here's what your vehicle faces that the manufacturer never designed for:
263+ sunny days annually. UV Index 10+ from April through September. Unprotected clear coat oxidizes and becomes chalky within 3–5 years. Ceramic coating blocks UV at the surface, dramatically slowing this process.
Agricultural caliche dust from surrounding farms and unpaved roads carries alkaline particles that act as mild abrasives on clear coat. Each windstorm event adds micro-scratching to unprotected paint. Ceramic adds measurable hardness (9H rated) to the surface.
Lubbock water is mineral-heavy. When water evaporates on paint in 100°F+ heat, concentrated calcium and magnesium deposits etch into clear coat within hours. On dark vehicles — black, navy, dark gray — these are visible as white spots. Ceramic's hydrophobic surface prevents water from bonding and sheeting it off instead.
BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and Audi paint systems have softer clear coat than domestic vehicles — it polishes out beautifully but shows caliche and hard water damage faster. Ceramic coating adds the hard protective layer these finishes are missing for the West Texas environment.
Interior temps exceed 150°F in Lubbock summers. Exterior temperature swings of 40–50°F in a single day stress paint adhesion and expand/contract seals. Ceramic coating is chemically bonded to the clear coat and handles these extremes without degradation.
The Lubbock South Plains is surrounded by active agricultural operations. Iron particles from equipment become airborne and embed in paint surfaces. Our chemical iron fallout remover and clay bar process remove these before coating — leaving them in the paint voids the protection.
Our shop is at 13209 Frankford Ave, Suite 4 — easily accessible from every South Lubbock neighborhood and surrounding community via Loop 289, the Marsha Sharp Freeway, or Slide Road.
Our ceramic coating packages start at $799 for a 2-year essential coating on a sedan. The 5-year Premium package starts at $1,299 and the 10-year Elite starts at $1,999. Full-size luxury SUVs (Escalade, Navigator, Yukon Denali) and large trucks run higher — contact us for an exact quote based on your specific vehicle.
Always. Applying ceramic over swirl marks or scratches locks those defects under a permanent hard shell. Every package includes at minimum a single-stage machine polish. Our 5-year and 10-year packages include multi-stage paint correction. We will not coat a vehicle with significant defects without correcting them first.
Our 2-year coating delivers 18–24 months with proper maintenance. Our 5-year coating delivers 4–6 years. Our 10-year Elite coating (CarPro Cquartz) delivers 8–10+ years with our recommended annual SiO2 topper maintenance. The high UV load in West Texas does reduce longevity compared to manufacturer specs designed for more temperate climates — we're honest about this upfront.
The primary differences are formula hardness, number of layers, and service life. The 2-year uses a high-SiO2 formula with one layer. The 5-year uses a Silicon Carbide (SiC) carbon-composite formula with two layers and includes wheel ceramic. The 10-year uses CarPro Cquartz Elite — three layers, full wheel and windshield ceramic, and the maximum UV resistance available. Higher tiers also include more thorough paint correction prep.
