What Actually Happens
Remove personal valuables and tell us about stains, odors, pet hair, delicate repairs, or problem areas; you do not need to wash the vehicle first. The selected package determines the base scope, and inspection determines which condition-matched methods are appropriate. We confirm timing and any scope change before work begins.
Most people's only reference point for cleaning a car is a tunnel wash or doing it themselves in the driveway. A real detail is a different thing entirely, and if you've never booked one it's reasonable to not know what you're paying for. Here's the honest version.
Before You Come In
Take your stuff out — glovebox, center console, trunk, car seats if you can. We'll work around belongings if we have to, but anything left in the vehicle is something we can't clean under. You don't need to wash it first. Bringing it dirty is the entire point; that's the job.
What Happens First: Decontamination
Every vehicle starts with a proper wash and decontamination, regardless of which package you booked. That means a foam pre-wash, a hand wash, and a clay bar pass to pull out embedded contamination the wash left behind — caliche, rail dust, industrial fallout. Everything after this step depends on the paint actually being clean, which is why it isn't optional.
How Long It Takes
Timing depends on vehicle size, condition, selected package, approved add-ons, and current workload. Ceramic-coating timing also depends on preparation, included surfaces, product instructions, and shop conditions. We confirm the expected pickup window with the appointment.
What You'll Actually Notice Afterward
The two things people comment on are how the glass looks and how the interior smells. Paint gloss is the obvious one, but clean glass with no film changes night driving more than most people expect. If your car had an odor, that usually traces to the carpet and seats, which is a different service than a wipe-down.
What we won't do: tell you that you need the expensive package when you don't. If the paint is in good shape, an Essential Detail is the right call and we'll say so. If it genuinely needs correction, we'll show you under proper lighting rather than asking you to take our word for it.
If you're not sure which level your vehicle needs, that's normal and it isn't something you're expected to diagnose yourself. Bring it by, we'll look at it, and you'll get a straight answer.
