Paint sealant and ceramic coating are both surface-protection services, but they differ in product, preparation, installed price, service terms, maintenance, and ownership fit. The better choice is the one whose written scope matches the vehicle and the owner's plan—not automatically the more expensive or longer-labeled option.
What a Paint Sealant Actually Is
Our Full Reset & Protect and Premium packages include a paint sealant sold as a 6-month service tier. Real-world behavior depends on preparation, exposure, wash chemistry, contamination, and maintenance; the label is not a guarantee that every vehicle beads the same way for exactly six months.
What a Ceramic Coating Actually Is
Ceramic coating is a separate service with product-specific preparation and written package terms. Sedan pricing starts at $799 for the 2-Year CarPro CQuartz SiC tier, $1,299 for the 5-Year CarPro DQuartz tier, and $1,899 for the 10-Year CarPro DQuartz + Gliss tier. Each package includes condition-matched decontamination and inspection-based paint preparation. Because a transparent coating does not hide existing defects, optional correction is explained after the finish is evaluated.

- Sedan: $799 / $1,299 / $1,899 for the 2-, 5-, and 10-year tiers.
- SUV: $899 / $1,399 / $2,299 for the same three tiers.
- Truck or large SUV: $1,099 / $1,499 / $2,599 for the same three tiers.
Full Reset & Protect starts at $350 for a sedan and includes a paint sealant sold as a 6-month service tier. Premium Detail starts at $695 for a sedan and adds inspection-based machine correction before its ceramic sealant. Vehicle size, condition, approved add-ons, and deeper correction can change the final price.
The Honest Way to Choose
Start with the ownership horizon, then compare the installed cost, included preparation, covered surfaces, storage, mileage, wash routine, and aftercare. A short-term sealant may fit a sale or lease plan; a coating may fit a longer ownership plan, but neither conclusion follows from time alone.
Where West Texas Changes the Math
Dust, mineral residue, outdoor exposure, and strong sun are relevant in West Texas, but they affect each vehicle differently. Prompt washing, drying, shade or garage use, product compatibility, and maintenance matter to both sealants and coatings.
What neither one does: stop rock chips, prevent every scratch or mineral deposit, repair existing defects, or replace washing. A compatible coating may make some residue easier to remove, but maintenance is still required.
