People ask how long a detail takes and we answer that a lot. The more useful question is how long it holds. The answer depends almost entirely on which stage you booked and where the vehicle lives between visits.
Stage 1 is a thorough clean with tire dressing and an interior wipe-down. There is no durable protection layer in it, so what you are measuring is how long it stays looking clean. Garage-kept, that is a few weeks. Parked outside through a Lubbock wind event, considerably less. It is maintenance, not protection.
Stage 2 adds clay bar decontamination and a six-month ceramic sealant. The sealant is the part with a clock on it. Six months is the honest figure in this climate — UV load and hard water shorten sealants here faster than in milder places. The interior steam clean holds much longer than the exterior protection does.
Stage 3 adds machine paint correction. Two different clocks: the swirls and oxidation removed are gone permanently, but new damage accumulates from future washing. The sealant on top still runs about six months. So the gloss lasts as long as you protect and wash it carefully.
Our packages run 2, 5, and 10 years at $799, $1,299, and $1,899. Those are real durability figures for the products, but they assume the coating is maintained — pH-safe washing and periodic decontamination. Running a coated car through brushed automatic washes is the fastest way to cut those numbers down.
Automatic brush washes, letting the vehicle air dry after a wash, parking under trees, and leaving bird droppings or bug residue to bake. Those four undo protection faster than anything the weather does on its own.
The honest framing: a detail is not a one-time purchase that lasts forever. Stage 1 is upkeep, Stage 2 buys about half a year, and a coating is the only option measured in years. Pick based on how long you want to go between visits.
If you are trying to figure out which stage fits your situation, tell us how the vehicle is parked and how often you wash it. That determines the answer more than the vehicle does.
We'll inspect your paint and tell you exactly what it needs — most clients are booked within 48 hours.
The Coat Plan is our monthly ceramic maintenance membership. pH-safe washes, iron decontamination, and SiO₂ topper every month. Priority scheduling, locked-in rate. No contracts.
It depends on the stage. An Essential Detail keeps a vehicle looking clean for a few weeks. Full Reset & Protect includes a six-month ceramic sealant. A ceramic coating lasts 2 to 10 years depending on the package and how it is maintained.
About six months in Lubbock. UV load and mineral-heavy water shorten sealants here faster than in milder climates, so six months is the realistic figure rather than a best case.
The defects removed are gone permanently. What returns is new damage from future washing and use. That is why correction is usually paired with protection — clear the past, then slow down the future.
Brushed automatic car washes, letting the car air dry, parking under trees, and leaving bird droppings or bug residue to bake in. Those do more damage to protection than normal weather exposure.
Our 2-year package starts at $799, the 5-year at $1,299, and the 10-year at $1,899. Those figures assume the coating is maintained with pH-safe washing and periodic decontamination.
